Birders,

We made a lap around Saylorville this morning.  Polk City Wildlife
Area had the best shorebird selection.  We ended up with only 9
species of shorebirds though:

Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Spotted Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Killdeer
Baird's Sandpiper (4 at Jester)
Sanderling (1 at Jester)


We tallied 10 species of warblers from Polk City Wildlife Area, Jester
Park, and the Oak Grove campground:

Golden-winged Warbler (1)
Tennessee Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler (2)
Ovenbird
Mourning Warbler (1)
Wilson's Warbler
American Redstart

Some other sightings included:
Olive-sided Flycatcher (1 at Jester)
Caspian Tern (4)
Forster's Tern (4)
American White Pelican (500+)
Sharp-shinned Hawk (2)
