Did not find the Northern Mocking bird recently see at Cone Marsh, but did
find a number of spring birds, including:

- Sora
- 2 Brown Thrashers singing
- Yellow-rumped Warbler

Waterfowl were numerous, particularly American Coots. Also Gadwall,
American Wigeon, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler,Ring-necked Ducks and
Lesser Scaup.

On the way down to Cone Marsh from Cedar Rapids, I observed Purple Martins
at the plastic gourd houses at the Casey's in Hills, and a Sandhill Crane
in Washington County by the water treatment area near the English River on
Vine south of Hwy 22.
