Hi all,

Nothing rare to report, but a quick update on some migrants and new (for me)
arrivals in Eastern Iowa. Overall, pretty quiet both days.

Wednesday morning at Squaw Creek Park, Linn County:
--Broad-winged Hawk
--Ruby-crowned Kinglets
--House Wrens
--Eastern Towhees
--White-throated Sparrows

Thursday morning at Amana Nature Trail, Iowa County:
--Ruby-crowned Kinglets
--Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
--Hermit Thrush
--Louisiana Waterthrush*
--Eastern Towhees

*The Louisiana Waterthrush is quite vocal along the creek side of the Yellow
and Blue trails. Takes some patience to spot him. But he is very busy
establishing his territory so just listen for him and you should be able to
find him. He moves up and down the creek at least as far as the Blue Trail,
maybe past there but I didn't have time to walk the trails that go farther out.
