I birded Dunbar Slough (Greene Co.) and a few other spots today. There
were good numbers (500+ of 18 species) of shorebirds at Dunbar. The majority
of them were on a pond that is getting drained (on private land) that is
NW of the parking lot on B Ave. These were too far off to ID many of them
with the windy conditions, although it was easy to pick out all of the
Dunlin. Luckily a Peregrine Falcon took a swipe at them and they all took off
and landed in other areas where they were easier to see. I couldn't find
any ibis. Highlights include:

1 Willet
3 Hudsonian Godwits
1 Sanderling
3 White-rumped Sandpipers
115 Dunlin
134 dowitchers (mostly Long-billed)
3 Wilson's Phalaropes

After that I did some county birding in Webster and Hamilton Co's. The
birdiest spot I found was along Big Bear Road in Hamilton Co. where I had 14
species of warblers (Blue-winged, Golden-winged, and Wilson's were the
highlights) , Wood Thrush, and a single Purple Finch.

Good birding...
