My Bird-a-thon team (Donna Flanagan, Jonnie Lennon, Paul Martsching and myself) found a Little Blue Heron this afternoon about 2 miles from my house. The bird was located on 252nd St, west side of DesMoines River. The bird was in a marshy impoundment (largest of 3) about 3/4 of a mile east of Magnolia Rd. We also relocated the 7(6 white, one blue) Snow Geese in Greene Co. that I reported last week. These seem to be a little late.
