100s of swallows still on the main channel by Credit I. Park. Purple Martins
joined the fray today.

Black Terns again. Common and/or Forster's Terns showed up today.

A Willet on the shore gave a nice view 75 feet away .

10 Black Terns and 1000s of swallows on the main channel of the Mississippi
River at Credit Island Park in Davenport this afternoon. Swallows were thick
over the river as far as the eye could see at least a quarter mile up and
downstream of me. Mostly Barn, Bank and Tree. Some Cliff. Didn't see any N.
Rough-winged but there must have been a few. Many swallows landed on a sandy
shore 100 feet away where I got a nice view of the Bank breastband for a change.
