A male Harris' Sparrow was brought to the nature center at Sharon Bluffs State Park by Centerville. It had apparently hit a window of a farm house in rural Appanoose County.

I went down there and found out that it had flown back where it wasn't visible from the road so I walked in and was fortunate enough to have lots of great looks at it. A very beautiful bird indeed and a lifer! Also seen at Luton WMA S were 10 Hudsonian Godwit and two Black-crowned Night-Heron. I will post a link to a photo of the heron later tonight. Jerry von Ehwegen later told me that at the Dairy Ponds he had a Ruddy Turnstone. Jerry also had a Western Grebe at Sandhill Lake on Saturday but I couldn't refind it the day after. Swallows were thick over the river as far as the eye could see at least a quarter mile up and downstream of me. Mostly Barn, Bank and Tree. Some Cliff. Didn't see any N. Rough-winged but there must have been a few.
