I did some birding in Fayette County today. There weren't many migrants -
14 warbler species but very low numbers.

Brush Creek Canyon State Preserve - Acadian Flycatcher, Veery, Swainson's
Thrush, Wood Thrush, Cerulean Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush, Mourning
Warbler, Scarlet Tanager

Pasture along S entrance road to Brush Creek Canyon - Grasshopper Sparrow,
Savannah Sparrow, Dickcissel, Bobolink

Grannis Creek Wildlife Area - Pileated Woodpecker, Acadian Flycatcher,
Blue-winged Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Mourning
Warbler

Volga River State Recreation Area - Blue-winged Warbler, Blackburnian
Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, White-crowned Sparrow

Thelman Wildlife Area - Willow Flycatcher, Bell's Vireo

Sweet Marsh, Bremer County - Olive-sided Flycatcher, White-crowned Sparrow

When I got home I was surprised to find a female Purple Finch at my thistle
feeder, apparently a tie for the record late spring date.
