In Johnson County, off Maier Avenue SW (off Hwy 1 S) there is some standing water on the west side of the road, a mile south of Osage Rd. Three Willets and a handful of Least Sandpipers were present at 4 pm today, along with some Mallards and a lot of Killdeer.
The water is evaporating fast, but earlier in the week 2 Great Egrets and 2 Great Blues spent the day.
