Hello I-Birders, 

     On my way back to DSM from Ames yesterday afternoon I found a SOLITARY 
SANDPIPER living up to its name.  The bird was in a muddy puddle in a flooded 
corn field along CR38 just north of the town of Slater.  There were multiple 
shorebirds there at that same site in the morning as I zoomed by on the way to 
work but, sadly, I didn't have the time to stop.
