Birders

A day and a half of birding at Backbone St. Park in Delaware County turned up 
68 species:
   16 warbler species, incl:
      Golden-winged
      No. Parula
      Black-throated Green
      Magnolia
      Blackpoll
      No. Waterthrush
      Wilson's
      ( Blackburnian was numerous, 2nd only to Am. Redstart )
Other sightings:  
      Olive-sided and Yellow-bellied Flycatchers
      Philadelphia Vireo
      Red-shouldered Hawk ( resident )
      New world record high count of Eastern Wood-Pewee ( uncountable )
Maquoketa River flooding has left the central road impassable, but the valley 
floor is still
reachable via the east entrance.   South campground is open.
