The reservoir is just about back to normal levels and the shorebird habitat
abounds.
But shorebird numbers remain modest with Sand Point the best spot. There I saw
13 species including 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, 1 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and
1 WILLET. Most of Hawkeye's Great Egrets, R.B. Gulls, and pelicans also were in
the
Sand Point Area leaving the west end vacant. Round Pond and Greencastle Ave.
both had a few shorebirds.
