Have been waiting to see a Red-breasted Nuthatch in my yard this year. Usually
have one regularly through the winter but only had one very briefly this time
last year.
A little while ago I was adjusting a feeder on a pole and I looked down and
there was my favorite nuthatch looking up at me not more than a foot away.
