Just returned from the Eastern Sierras and Death Valley.

While at Death Valley I enjoyed watching an opportunistic Brewer's
Blackbird. He worked the curb of a parking lot, and flew to each car that
entered the lot. He then fluttered back and forth, along the front bumper
of the car...picking off road-killed insects.

This guy definitely had a slick system, and only had to wait for the bugs to
come to him!

Behaviorism never ceases to amaze me, I guess...

Wondering if anyone else has observed this sort of bird behavior ?
