This morning I scoped the east end of the Hawkeye Wildlife Area and
saw the following birds:
 
 1 Tundra Swan
10 Cackling Geese
 3 American Avocets
 1 Spotted Sandpiper
50 American Golden-Plovers
 
 Cone Marsh looked good with low water and shorebirds (10 species) on
the east side. The marsh also had a good mix of ducks. Birds included:
 
  1 American Avocet
  1 Black-bellied Plover
  6 Sandhill Cranes
  2 Sora Rails
  1 Dark-morph Red-tailed Hawk
