We will be presenting our program 'Walking With Penguins' at the
Marshalltown Bird Club meeting this coming Thursday, October 28, 2010. The
Marshalltown Bird Club meets at the Fisher Community Center (FCC). The
meeting starts at 7 with the program at about 7:30.

We travelled to the Falkland Islands in January 2009 for two weeks of
photography on six of the 700 plus islands. Among the subjects were 5
penguin species - four of which had chicks.

These are the directions to the Fisher Community Center that Gary
Brandenberg sent to us. "It is located on South Center street about 1.5
miles north of highway 30. The FCC is west of the big HY-Vee grocery story
at the intersection with Anson Street. Look for the tall bell tower of the
courthouse to the north across the railroad viaduct. Do not cross the
viaduct, but turn west on Anson Street. The first drive to the north is
where to enter for parking for the FCC, right next to the little pond with
statues in it."
