Don,
We do get a number of Krider's coming through the Hitchcock HawkWatch every year. We are just a little further south from you. Our 10,000th bird this year was a Red-tailed Krider's last week.

Subject: [ia-bird] Krider's Red-tailed Hawk

Hi,
Sunday morning Oct. 31, 2010 I saw a very white red-tailed Hawk about 5 miles south of the Ida Grove Airport along the west side of Hwy 59.

I have asked 5 people for a possible ID from two photos that I took and most indicate a adult Krider's Red-tailed. I have uploaded to the members photo gallery the two images that I took. I have also received another call telling of a very light colored hawk in the same area and it maybe the same bird.
