Subj: new fall yard birds

The Purple Finches came to the feeders three days ago, and today several
Pine Siskins.
Still have a good numbers of White-throated Sparrows.

Saw a Shrike north of Mason City. It was in an area where Loggerheads have
nested in the past. It flew in front and away from me, so not certain if
it was a Northern or Loggerhead.
