Folks,

I saw what I think was the same accipiter on my way back from my appointment.  
My looks weren't as good this time, and I found myself waffling between goshawk 
and big Cooper's hawk.

The top of the head was definitely distinctly black, and the breast was 
definitely not reddish.  It wasn't white, either - more of a buff.  

I didn't hear it this time.  I'm suffering from decaying-memory syndrome; when 
I play back a Cooper's, it sounds just like it; then I play a goshawk call, and 
it sounds just like that as well.  I am fully aware that the two birds sound 
very distinct from each other.
