I went out yesterday for awhile without a lot of success. Backroads
produced 3 Bald Eagle adults, but very few other birds of note. Snow
Bunting seem to have left and Longspurs are also scarce.
I went to Harrier Marsh and had better results. The two Savannah Sparrows
persist and are looking good. I was watching one of them bath in a little
open water and a Swamp Sparrow appeared. I went back today and the Swamp
Sparrow was still present. A few Lapland Longspurs were in the Harrier
area, also.
Got some photos of the Swamp Sparrow this morning, if anyone wants to look.
They start with the 5th photo in this album. There are a couple of new
Savannah photos too.
