Birders,
Open water is increasing fast at Gray's Lake in Polk County, and there were 9 species of waterfowl present:

68 Common Goldeneye
50 Lesser Scaup
1 Greater Scaup
85 Canvasback
20 Redheads
1 Ruddy Duck
20 Mallards
5 Hooded Mergansers
3 Red-breasted Mergansers

Plus numerous Bald Eagles of various ages, probably 130 Ring-billed Gulls, and a smattering of Herring Gulls.
