Yesterday, at Green Valley S. P. in Union County, we found 21 waterfowl
species, including:
~3,000 Greater White-fronted Geese
~2000 Snow Geese
10+ Ross's Geese
10+ Cackling Geese
~1500 Canada Geese
40+ Gadwall
4+ American Wigeon
~800 Mallard
~400 Northern Pintail
5+ Green-winged Teal
20+ Canvasback
~100 Redhead
25+ Ring-necked Duck
14+ Greater Scaup
50+ Lesser Scaup
6+ Bufflehead
8+ Common Goldeneye
4+ Hooded Merganser
10+ Common Merganser
15+ Ruddy Duck
~10 American Coot
We left as numerous flights of geese were still overhead.
