Did some searching in central Iowa today and yesterday. Yesterday
Beemer's was relatively active with coots, N. Pintail, Redheads, L. Scaup,
Canvasbacks, a couple of Snow Geese, some Greater White-fronted Geese,
Cackling and Canada Geese. A similar mix was to be found at Little Wall
Lake yesterday.

Today though a few small rafts (10-20) of Common Mergansers had joined the
mix. Also at Bjorkboda six Trumpeter Swans were standing out with some
Greater White-fronted Geese, Canada Geese, Cackling Geese a N. Pintail and
a couple of L. Scaup. Also at Bjorkboda was a dark morph Rough-legged
Hawk and a very late stage juv. Bald Eagle. At the pasture on 110th
street and George Washington Carver Ave two Killdeer were observed at a
mud wallow.
