The Mississippi R. was choppy and had a few members of Lesser Scaup and at
Heron
Bend South 5 Ruddy Ducks.  The majority of duck species were found in marshes
and open ponds.  No Swan species aside from the resident Trumpters at Trumpter
Marsh.  One flock of Greater White fronted Geese were seen overhead late in the
afternoon.

A few Cackling Geese were heard in a flock of Canadas.  A couple of Wood Ducks
made a quick appearance at Trumpter Marsh.  Gadwall, Mallards, Shovelers,
Redheads, Ring-neck ducks, Lesser Scaup, Bufflehead were seen at several
locations in decent numbers but certainly not hundreds. All 3 mergansers:
Common, Red-breasted and Hooded were seen in single numbers.  Common goldeneye
was the first a bird of the day spotted flying at the Port of Burlingtonnd.  I
think the best bird of the day a single Female Long-tailed duck in the Marina
at
Fort Madison.  Green-wing Teal were spotted at Heron Bend North.

Pied-billed Grebes and small flock of A. White Pelicans were seen flying and at
at the Ortho Access of the Miss. R.

A total of 69 species were seen, this is just a quick short list of the ducks
found.  The ICBC had a great day with Chuck Fuller.
