On a loop that took me south into Chickasaw and Bremer counties yesterday, I was gratified to find the following: At Cedar Lake in Nashua, 2 trumpeter swans At Sweet Marsh outside Tripoli, several wigeons and a great blue heron Along the way, a northern harrier and single meadowlarks in 2 locations And robins and red-winged blackbirds everywhere, just newly arrived also Rose Weigel Decorah
