I heard what I'm fairly certain was an Acadian flycatcher at Hickory Hill park
this morning - it was calling from the cemetery near the Triangle. (There's a
slight chance it was actually an alder flycatcher, but it sounded like a very
sharp "free BEER" without any buzziness, and the "BEER" was at a substantially
higher pitch than the "free." If anyone has another suggestion on what I might
have heard, given what should or should not be passing through right now,
please let me know.)

Other than that, it was a great morning for woodpeckers - hairies, a couple of
sapsuckers, red-bellieds, and 5 or 6 male downy woodpeckers on one or two trees
trying very hard to impress a single female.
