This morning Stuart and I were awakened by the NORTHERN CARDINAL singing outside our window, followed by gobbling WILD TURKEYS and a calling BARRED OWL. When we went outside there was a CAROLINA WREN singing loudly from high in a tree in the front yard. We took it as a sign to get out early, so we took Cooper on his walk in Terra Park (Johnston) early...before it got hot. Most notable was a single LE CONTE'S SPARROW with a flock of VESPER SPARROWS.
