Mike Tompkins and I checked out the south and central area of Sweet's
Marsh (Bremer Co.)on Saturday morning (late post) FOY birds included Palm
Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.
Other notables were a Great Horned Owl on the old eagles nest and female
Northern Harrier.

This morning at lower Hartman Reserve (Black Hawk Co.) along Shirey Rd.
Many White-throated Sparrows and FOY birds including: Gray Catbird,
Empidonax sp. (suspect Least Flycatcher because of gray coloration and
earlier arrival), numerous House Wren, Common Yellowthroat, Swainson's
Thrush, Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, Nashville Warbler.
