The teal was there at 5 PM. As we were leaving I took one last look and it was
up on shore--giving a great full-body look. But as I was starting to move over
for my buddy to have a last look it flew up--I could not see it when I raised
up
from the scope so I don't know where it went. Couldn't find it again after
that.
I hope he stays around for others to see--he was awesome. Best looks may be in
the PM as the viewing is from west to east.

Also at Green Fuller were many Dulin and Yellowlegs and 5 Great Egrets. And
some
Palm Warblers, one of which had a fully yellow breast.

At Sycamore Bottoms in Iowa City I flushed 9 Sora along the first dyke, mostly
at the west end. Two Greater White-fronted Geese are still there. Also had my
best ever look at a Marsh Wren and while I had him in my view a Sora passed by
just behind him--I think that was number 8. I have seen wrens do some nice
push-ups but this guy looked like he was sparring with some unseen phantom
ninja--twisting, ducking, spinning; it would have been hard to land a blow on
him. Also a nice look at Sedge Wren there. 5 Cormorants were there also.

Just west of the Kalona Cheese Store on F67/540th St off of Hwy 1, there were
about 100 Purple Martins cruising a couple of small ponds.
