Was out hiking with my wife and our dog at Hitchock Nature Center in
Pottawattamie Co. No binoculars, and we were moving fast-- but lots of bird
activity that you couldn't miss. Seen or heard--

Flyovers
2 Ospreys
2 Cooper's Hawks
1 Sharp-shinned Hawk

Along trails
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
White-throated Sparrow
Eastern Phoebe
Baltimore Oriole
Scarlet Tanager
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
House Wren
Baltimore Oriole
Yellow-throated Vireo
Western Kingbird
Ovenbird
Numerous other warblers-- the one notable that I thought that I heard was a
Black-throated Green (seemed a bit early?) As I said, we were moving fast...
