Was out hiking with my wife and our dog at Hitchock Nature Center in Pottawattamie Co. No binoculars, and we were moving fast-- but lots of bird activity that you couldn't miss. Seen or heard--
Flyovers 2 Ospreys 2 Cooper's Hawks 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk Along trails Yellow-bellied Sapsucker White-throated Sparrow Eastern Phoebe Baltimore Oriole Scarlet Tanager Rose-breasted Grosbeak House Wren Baltimore Oriole Yellow-throated Vireo Western Kingbird Ovenbird Numerous other warblers-- the one notable that I thought that I heard was a Black-throated Green (seemed a bit early?) As I said, we were moving fast...
