I have never seen so many different birds in one day and never had to
leave my backyard! Baltimore and orchard orioles in abundance. I was
finally able to ID this puzzling oriole that I saw last year and again
this year. It was an immature Orchard oriole, more yellow colored, head
yellow, not black, and a black mark under beak and upper chest.
Rose-breasted grosbeak, male and female, indigo bunting, swainson's
thrush, common yellowthroat warbler, yellow warbler, yellow-rumped
warbler, palm warbler (spotted again), blackpoll warbler and black and
white warbler. I also think there is a Tennessee warbler but their colors
are so non-assuming that I still cannot make a positive ID.
Considering the wind yesterday and the cool temperatures, not a bad day at
all. Hoping today to see some new ones. Happy birding everyone.
