Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak is very similar to the female Black-headed Grosbeak. I thought I saw the female last year but this year saw the same bird but the male Rose-breasted was with her. Thats how I knew I made a mistake about the sighting last year. If this is truly the female of the Black-headed Grosbeak could you find out how they ID it as such and not the female of the Rose-Breasted? I would like to know how to tell them apart.
