The trees at McIntosh State Park, Ventura, were full of flycatchers, and
warblers in one area. N. Parula, Black-throated Green, Canada and lots of
Redstarts, Chestnut-sided and others, five Kingbirds in the middle of the
woods, along with a flock of Cedar Waxwings, a hand full of Great-crested
Flycatchers, and vireos were singing.

After checking them out I thought I better get to Parker's Woods, figuring
that that would be humming too. Unfortunately it was rather quiet. A
Scarlet Tanager was foraging the area, a few flycatchers, mostly Least and
Pewees were about. I finally saw a couple of Redstarts, Common
Yellow-throats and a female Black-throated Blue, skulking in the bushes with
a Swainson's Thrush.

Then in another area south of town and by the river there were five or more
Great-crested Flycatchers, two more Scarlet Tanagers, and Yellow-bellied
Flycatchers.

We were having a nice push of migrants through the area.
