This afternoon we saw the following birds at Lake Manawa, Pottawattamie:
Common Loon - 1
Pied-billed Grebe - 12
Franklin's Gulls - 5,000+
Barn Swallows - hundreds
Common Grackle - flock of approx. 150
In a flooded field east of the Bellevue bridge in Mills county:
there were about 20 Killdeer, 2 American Golden Plover, 1 Least
Sandpiper and about 50 Franklin's Gulls.
