This is the first time we have seen one of these in our yard outside of spring. Its been feeding on the ground among the house sparrows.
Being the curious sort I am, I'd like to be able to know its age. Is it a first-year, or an adult? I'm having a time telling the difference between the two. This morning saw one female American Robin. They seemed to disappear after an abundant nesting season. A highlight for us... Yesterday afternoon, there were two Yellow-rumped Warblers hopping about on our front porch roof catching bugs. They are another we've not seen in the fall at our place.
