About a half hour ago we had one checking out the Bleeding Hearts. We tried all summer to attract them, putting up a feeder, but never any takers. Now that the feeder was put away... I quick boiled some sugar water and set out the feeder again. Maybe there will be more strays who come by.
Oh, I had always boiled the water, is it really necessary when you are on rural water? I have heard conflicting info about that.
