The two Surf Scoters reported by John Bissell were still off the dam this
evening, best viewed from Lakeview. There were still a few shorebirds off
Jester today including an American Avocet, Black-bellied Plovers, and
Long-billed Dowitchers. Pelican numbers there have declined greatly in the
past few days, with only a couple hundred left. Harris's Sparrows, Fox
Sparrows, and Hermit Thrushes were common around Big Creek.
