I spent about 4 hours at Springbrook State Park (north of Guthrie Center)
leaning up against a tree watching deer. I had a mixed flock of birds pass
through the timber including Eastern Bluebird, Brown Creeper, Black-capped
Chickadee, Red-headed Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, American Goldfinch, Blue
Jay, Dark-eyed Junco, and White-breasted Nuthatch. Actually, the Red-headed
Woodpeckers were visible all afternoon.
