Lena and I took a morning drive to check wetlands north of Ames. We tallied 19 waterfowl species, including 6 adult Tundra Swans at Ada Hayden Park in Ames, many southbound Bald Eagles, a Northern Shrike in SW Franklin Co., and several flocks of 100+ Lapland Longspurs.
