I checked and the Snowy Owl was still present south of Hwy 30 on Hwy 17. It was there between 7:30 and 9:30 and had not moved at all it appeared.
I just received word from the land owner that the owl is dead. Apparently it starved to death. A naturalist is there now picking it up. The land owner did not elaborate who the naturalist was associated with.
