Running a short errand today, I saw two adult Red0Tailed Hawks, in about as different habitat as you can have locally.  
One was flying low over an cleaned ag field.  It would flaring up in the breeze and then dip low again.  
The other was soaring over a wooded part of Iowa city, E of the Mayflower Apartments in Iowa City.
