I found what appears to be last years Pileated nest hole last week. It is
in the woods near my house. I went back over today to watch the area and
looked up to see the tail end of a Saw Whet Owl 8 feet above me. The owl is
on private land (not mine). I ran home and got the camera.
Here is a link to photos I took. Look closely and you can see a headless
dead mouse in his right talon!

This past Tuesday:
2 Pileated Woodpeckers (1 at my house and 1 in McHose Park)
2 Northern Harriers (1 in my fornt yard and 1 near Harrier Marsh)
2 Kestrels (Harrier and 4-H Camp areas).
2 Pheasants (my front yard0
