On Saturday morning, I followed up on Matt's post about the Crossbills at
the Carroll Cemetery.  I didn't see them in the tree described by Matt but
then a grave was being dug nearby.  I did find them in a tree to the
southwest of that location though.  Or maybe I should say I ran into Shaun
Chandler who pointed out the Crossbills to me.  I would guess there were 15
- 20 of them feeding high in a spruce tree.  The ground was littered with
small cones and new cones were constantly falling to the ground as the birds
fed.
