I made some stops by Green Valley Lake, 12-mile Lake, and 3-mile Lake  in
Union County today and found the following highlights: 22 Species of
Waterfowl (2 early male Blue-winged Teals, 7 Trumpeter Swans, 1 Greater
Scaup, all 5 Goose species with lots of Greater White-fronted Geese, and
some misses were Northern Shoveler and Wood Duck), 5 Killdeer, 23 American
Kestrel between Corning and Osceola on Highway 34, 2 Swamp Sparrows, and a
juvenile Rough-legged Hawk.
