I spent the first part of the morning at a northern Iowa marsh and the
waterfowl were plentiful. Thousands of Canadas, Snows, Specklebellies, and
Mallards. Also, Widgeon, Pintail, Ringneck, and a huge flock of GW Teal.
Many of the Mallards and Specklebellies flew back to the marsh with mud
balls on their feet and mud on their bills, which they picked up while
feeding in muddy fields..

Also saw killdeer and my first robin....and quite a number of eagles
migrating on the strong SW wind..
