Today, between Brenton Slough, Big Creek State Park, Polk City WLA, and Errington Marsh, we tallied 24 waterfowl species. Big Creek, by far, had the most individuals. The total includes all five geese species, with no swans, and no Blue-winged Teal. First-of-the-year Wood Ducks were at Brenton Slough, and Northern Shovelers were at Big Creek and Errington.

We did not see any Short-eared Owls at Errington Marsh. Where will we look next?
