As we were about to turn down our Marshall County road in mid- afternoon we watched a red-tailed hawk come out of a roadside ditch carrying a snake which was about 14 inches. A crow appeared to be in pursuit. We lost sight of the birds due to trees.

We spent several hours today at Anderson Lake in Hamilton County where a good variety of waterfowl are still present in large numbers.
