Early this morning as I trekked the perimeter of Swan Lake (as I've
mentioned before, Swan Lake is located in Swan Lake State Park, just two
miles south of Carroll), I caught sight of a Great-Blue Heron flying
overhead. This was my FOY. This might not be quite as noteworthy, but I
also spotted a Ring-Billed Gull coasting above the water. On the lake, I
saw several BW Teal. While spying on a Tree Sparrow perched high in a
tree, an adult male Northern Harrier flew over and I was lucky enough to
get a great look! Less remarkable were the Cooper's and two Red-Tailed
Hawks that I spotted as I left the park.I hope that everyone gets a chance
to get out and enjoy this superb weather!

Happy Birding To All!
