Birders

A DNR Bald Eagle nest survey took me to Keokuk County today, and I confirmed
one nest with 2 adults, maybe on eggs?

Had several FOY birds, including Blue-winged Teal, Eastern Phoebe, YB
Sapsucker, Tree Swallow, Hermit Thrush, and White-crowned and Swamp Sparrows.

{How come the city of Keokuk is not in Keokuk County? For that matter, neither
is Des Moines in Des Moines County, Wapello in Wapello County, Odebolt in
Odebolt County, etc.}
