My FOY Chipping Sparrow is singing his heart out in our backyard in Ankeny right now, after the rain showers. Eastern Meadowlarks have been singing at the DMACC Campus here in Ankeny as well, since March 5th. Song Sparrows picked up out there earlier this week. Very little waterfowl movement there this season, outside of a few Greater White-fronted Geese making a night-time passage on Thursday and 5 Northern Shovelers and an American Coot today.
